Jennifer Seidemann, a senior and resident of Gries says, "I really like that we each have our own room. After spending three years with a roommate, a room to myself where I can easily close the door to get away from the hustle and bustle of school." Seidemann also adds, "The rooms echo quite a bit. The tall ceilings and big windows are beautiful, but the sound travels easily." Claire Kraemer, also a senior resident agrees that the apartments are great but doesn't like "that we are unable to bring our own furniture into the apartment."
Underclassmen have been eyeing up the new apartments and thinking about whether they should live there in the future. KJ Scribner, a freshman, says, "Gries Hall is amazing! I have been in it a few times so far this year and I like it a lot. Although they would need to fix the massive dead zone problem before I would live there. No cell phone would drive me crazy!"
Peter Romenesko, a senior resident enjoys the "awesome room, air conditioning, large fridge, the fact that it's fully furnished, and that it brings the campus closer together," but claims that he is "never going to live like this again until I'm 35."
