The fifth annual Fall Fest took place from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Campus Center on Friday, Oct. 16. Students along with several staff and faculty members gathered together for the event's free food and entertainment.
This year featured various foods including pizza, soda, popcorn, cotton candy and ice cream.
There was also plenty of entertainment such as a photo booth, games, pumpkin painting and stand up comedy from comedienne Judy McDonald.
The room was full for the majority of the evening and seemed to be popular among students. A long line remained steady as people waited for their turns at the photo booth. The pumpkin painting table was also busy throughout the event as people filled the tables, eager to decorate.
"This started as a simple college fair and turned into something monstrous," Sandy Murphy, campus minister, said. "The first year we had 200 people total and within the first hour tonight we had 500."
Murphy also said at least 535 people attended the event, though she suspected more.
Campus Ministry along with the Department of Mission and Heritage sponsored the event, though many other groups helped as well.
Several SNC groups assisted in the organization of games and the distribution of food, including Habitat for Humanity, Journey Men, the Alive Team, Circle K, Friends for Wheels, Women's Center, the Norbertine Associates and the Norbertine Volunteer Community.
